I’d just like to get the opinion of others.
Puppy (less than year old) is playing/roaming on property while the whole family is outside. He goes to the corner of the property (still on his property) and barks. Dog from adjoining property comes over and attacks him. Mom of dog being attacked tries to separate and is bitten on hand. Dad grabs the puppy and finally gets them separated.
Puppy has puncture wound on neck ($1000). Mom’s hand is pretty messed up. It required stitches (ER when it happened) and three fingers still aren’t working properly and the palm hurts almost all the time (seeing orthopedic soon). Medical bills are adding up.
Who should be responsible? The people it happened to? The owner of the other dog that came onto the property and attacked? Split?
Just wanting to get others thoughts.
