Got a 6 year old cat that refuses to poop in any of our litter boxes for over a year and a half. She’ll pee in them but not poop. Her pee is very ammonia scented. Like I have to wear a mask. She doesn’t drink enough water and she only drinks water by dipping a paw in and licking it off. She hides during the day, and comes out around 5 pm and later to snuggle, poop, eat, and “drink”. She plays a little bit but mainly wants to cuddle with me. She aggressively licks my arm and becomes mad when I don’t let her. And she has to have her butt scratched. When She does play she picks up her mousey toy, and meows as loud as she can while walking around with it. Then she’ll set it down and walk away. She usually meows when she’s lonely and doesn’t know where I am. She’s very shy after being with us for 4 years and she’ll run and hide if we move too fast. I think she doesn’t poop in the litter box because our other cat chases her quite often outta of places to her hiding spot. We have a litter box by her hiding spot but she will only poop in the hallway by the stairs. My wife thinks she just likes to poop there and we need to rehome her. Anyone got anything we can try? We’ve got the Felloway pet diffusers around the house.
