What the cat does:
He sort of lives in my backyard and always comes and asks me for pets. Whenever he sees me he always rolls over showing his belly.
He loves to rub his head and tail against me, my shoes, my clothes, and anything that has my scent.
Lately, he has come into my house a couple of times as well and seems to want to get in really badly as during the night he would sometimes meow and bang my door.
Somethings I noticed:
He really hates wet food and doesn't eat raw meat. I tried giving him raw uncooked stripes of beef and chicken but he didn't eat it. I also tried giving him some canned tuna but he only took couple of bites and didn't seem to like it. I might try giving him some dry cat food soon.
He looks fairly young and is in between a 'kitten' and an 'adult cat'.
I think he probably had human owners before but was abandoned or lost.
So should I adopt him? I do want to but I cannot raise him indoors since I live on rent and my landlords do not want pets inside the house.
So if I do adopt him I am going to raise him in my backyard with a cat cage (and with other cat accessories) for the time being. But I am moving to my own house in about 6 months so I can raise him indoors then.
