Boyfriends dog was over last night and today he told me he found fleas on her, what do I do now?

My boyfriend has a dog and I have a cat, my roommate has a dog.

A few weeks ago my roommate found a flea on her dog, she immediately treated her dog and I treated my cat, our house seemed to be flea free after that. My Boyfriends dog occasionally comes over so I told him to treat her for fleas. He never did.

She has been over a few times since then and has recently been scratching more. She was over last night and he insisted she sleep in my bed. This morning he said he was going to check her for fleas as she was itching a lot this morning and guess what! She has fleas.

I’m asking advice on what to do next. Where do I look for fleas in my home? I washed my sheets and comforter immediately after she left. I’m not worried about the animals as we give them preventative flea treatments but I am worried if some jumped off the dog and are now in my room, bed or home.

What steps should I take to make sure there isn’t an infestation before it happens, is it possible that just because he found some there won’t be an infestation in my room / home? My cat is an indoor cat so I really don’t have any experience with this and any advice wiz appreciated!!

TL;DR boyfriend found fleas on his dog the day after she slept in my bed, how can I prevent an infestation
