Yesterday we caught a stray cat sitting right outside the window next to our front door. It came back to our yard twice. We're not sure what to do because OUR cat keeps peeing in the exact same spot in front of the door probably feeling threatened by the stray outside. We're not sure if the other cat is marking any territory outside. We tried to follow it or coax it to us so we could maybe take it to a local shelter or something but it ran away and hid.
What should we do to prevent our cat from peeing there? Or prevent the other cat from coming into our yard? Our cat is neutered but seems to keep doing it whenever he feels like it. Caught him in the act today (both our cats are male and we aren't sure if the cat outside is female/male)
