So my 4 year old cat has always been a good eater, we do a combination of wet and dry with a few treats before bed. The last 2 weeks he's been refusing the dry food and treats completely. I've of course upped his wet food so he's not losing weight but I'm getting worried...
He's been into the vet, they checked his vitals and his teeth (I thought it might have been a toothache?) but he was able to prod every tooth and my kitty was even leaning into it (he really likes the face pets) so the vet doesn't believe he's in any kind of pain. They think in might be a hairball and gave me medicine for it but it's been another few days and there hasn't been a change.
Nothing else has changed; he still drinks fine, plays fine, sleeps fine. Can cats just get picky about food?
