Hi. My female Chihuahua/Blue-Heeler mix was injured last night in a fight with a neighbor's dog trying to defend her puppy. Her ear is badly torn and most of her fur is missing. She stopped bleeding hours ago and is beginning to walk, but her eyes are bloodshot and she's been very sleepy. My family is worried she might die, my mom has been crying all day and night. We've washed her, disinfected her wounds and fed her but we're still very scared. We're going through a bit of a financial crisis and don't have enough money to take her to the vet, and even if we did it's an hours long drive (we live in an extremely small town on an Indian reservation.) Any advice on how to help her at home --- and if not, any advice on how to deal with her potential loss?
