We adopted a precious kitten on Monday and brought him in his carrier to a room upstairs in our house.
The next day, we found a flea on him 😩 we washed his blankets, gave him a soap bath, treated him with cheristin and combed out as many fleas as possible.
Wednesday, we vacuumed the entire room he’s been in and washed all sheets and bedding. When we combed him we found one dead flea at 8-10 eggs.
At what point can I let my sweet kitty out of this room and into the house? We have a toddler so we want to be extra careful to not let this problem get out of hand but am I expected to keep him locked in a room for 3 months until the flea lifecycle is over??
I appreciate anyone’s guidance on this issue.
