Does anyone have any experience with cats pulling up loop pile carpets? We are currently carpet shopping and because we have 2 cats every carpet salesperson is talking us off loop pile because cats can get their claws into it more easily than e.g. twist carpets, but we really love the look of loop pile! I've also seen this carpet in the homes of friends/relatives who have cats and their cats don't seem to do much damage to it. The more expensive ones also seem like they'd take a bit of strength to pull up.
If you have had this problem, how do you keep the cats from doing more damage?
Willing to hear horror stories and good news stories too! 😂
