It's a very sad display. We don't know what she was like before my roommate adopted her but our best guess is she has some trauma from her time before him.
She freaks out so badly. She screams loud enough to hear it clearly from outside, she throws up sometimes and aggressively chews and scratches at the entrance of the kennel. She's been slowly chipping away at it and today she managed to squeeze herself through the tiny hole she's created, scratching her muzzle and face badly in the process, and completely chew up and demolish a spot on the carpet. She went all the way to the base of the floor.
The few times we've left her in the house alone, she chews up blinds on the windows and tears off pieces of them out of anxiety. She screams and cries all the while.
We've tried staying in the same room as her while she's in the kennel - same result, and she cries even louder - we've tried CBD treats, we've tried a lot. Any other ideas for helping her calm down when my roommate has to leave her?
