So I adopted a new kitten from a local pet smart. She was playful at the store but when I brought her home she hides completely in my recliner. I haven’t even sat in it for a few days in fear of hurting her. I show her where her litter box and food is a few times a day. She eats when I’m gone and I’m sure she explores too. I bought toys to attempt to play with her but she acts very hesitant and ends up retreating to her safe space under the recliner. Any tips? (First time cat owner) (don’t worry I read up a lot on how to properly take care of a cat, just wanting tips on how to build a relationship with my kitten.
