Hello everyone! I am trying to rehome my cats because I am leaving to college soon and I need to find them a home or else they will have nowhere to stay or go. I have tried for weeks and contacted several different shelters and adoption centers and they have all declined me and said they wouldn't accept my cats. I've tried putting up posters in different places and no one has said anything about it. Two people that were interested completely backed out last minute. I have been at this for a month and I wish I had known earlier than it would take forever to find someone. I thought that shelters would actually function as shelters and take in cats that need shelter... but of course they wouldn't. I don't know what to do now because no one has accepted them and I'm thinking of just putting food and water in their crates and leaving them at the doors of the shelter. It's my last option and last resort. I know you guys probably don't know but don't you think the animal shelter would just take them in? It's better than leaving them on the streets.
