Today I got a hamster from the pet store, and ever since my dog has seen her, she’s always been trying to get close to her, keeps looking at her and sniffs around her cage. Should I keep them completely away from each other? A little afraid my dog’s “wild instincts” have activated and that she wants to eat her. Her tail is mostly wagging and she’s just running around looking at the hamster. Can somebody tell me what exactly my dog is trying to do?
