Our two kittens have had diarrhea since they were adopted a week ago. We thought it was due to stress at first, then we assumed it was the new (wet) food adjustment, but it hasn’t gone away.
We have a first time vet appointment in a few days (earliest available). But I noticed today there’s a bit of reddish blood in the stool and I can’t wait that long doing nothing.
I was wondering what kind of food we should feed them in the meantime. I know food adjustment can lead to upset overall but maybe there’s something we can do to at least help? What should I look for when going to the pet store in the morning?
Has anyone experienced this as well and did it go away?
Btw - both of them have normal energy levels, eating/drinking normally, and at the moment are playing around wrestling so I know they’re feeling okay.
