I've had my cat for a little over a year. Let a close friend of mine keep him for a few weeks to mouse out his place. I didn't realize how much I enjoyed not having him around. No cat fur, no allergies, the smell of litter gone and no zoomies at night.
Don't get me wrong, I love my cat but recently I've been craving a bond that's more rewarding and less of an inconvenience. I feel bad looking at him having these thoughts. I know he relies on me heavily for FOOD. And just that, which is also another reason I think it may not be that big of a deal. For cats this is more Primal. Is the bond that deep to him? Can he feel rejection and abandonment? Smh.
