While visiting a local shelter three weeks ago, I fell in love with a 2 year old female Husky/German Shepherd mix and adopted her. She settled in pretty quickly, but her energy became a problem. Regardless of how much I played with her or took her for a walks, she demands constant playing, cuddling/petting isn't enough, often including playful nipping at feet or tackling. Last night, she somehow escaped the yard and ran away, not sure how. She's driving me crazy. The issue is, when she's relaxed, she's the sweetest angel. As a single male who lives alone and works overnights, I'm worried that I might not be the ideal owner for her. Should I persist and hope she chills out, or return her to the shelter so she can find a more appropriate family home?
