So, I (19) am rehoming a cat this evening. His (still debating name's) owners are moving somewhere they can't keep pets.
After living in my own for two years (left home young) I have my own flat, a secure tenancy, and enough money to take care of a pet properly as well as myself.
He's 6 months old, however, and I'm on a part-time college course which means I'm out for long stretches at least twice a week. I was planning on getting another cat so he can have company, however there aren't any others in his current home.
Should I look for another young cat later or ASAP? I'm not sure if them both being in a new environment with me at the same time will be more stressful for them, as no one will be comfortable if that makes sense?
