We have 4 dogs, and lately 3 of them have been wanting to sleep in the bed with us at night. My wife and I are both 6ft tall+ and have only a queen sized bed. One dog is a full bed. Now they are jockeying for position and then when they get in bed they just want to lick us. So two nights ago we kicked the two worst offenders out and into the rest of the house where they have a nice, big sectional couch to sleep on, plus all of their toys and a comfortable dog bed. But they stood at our door and whined off and on in shifts keeping us from falling asleep for longer than an hour or so at a time and we take shifts going out and telling them to be quiet. We can’t kick them all out, because the one we keep in with us is our neurotic husky mix that would just make things worse by tearing up something. We’re not in a position financially yet to go buy a king sized bed, we think that would give everyone enough room, but right now there just isn’t the space for one 40lb dog and two 65+lb dogs and us in bed. Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping them from winning all night and keeping us up?
