I recently found a lost kitty and scanned its microchip. I looked it up online, found its registry and ... dead end. I had to report I found the cat, they said they'll reach out to the owner and that's all I could do.
This got me wondering about my own pets. So I reported one of my cats as found to their (different registry service) and it's been a full 2 days without receiving a found report from the registry service. I am 100% sure my information is correct on the registry.
Is there a registry that just provides the contact information when a pet is found rather than having to go through their clunky automated systems?
