We have a 7 year old cat we adopted the humane society around 6 years ago. She has always peed outside of the litter box a few times a month. My husband is to the point where he wants to rehome her. We have gone the vet countless times, she been on medications, prescription food, litter changes, etc. we have tried moving her litter box to different areas of the house. We are constantly cleaning up spots (when we’ve caught her). We’ve tried everything that we can think of.
I feel like I’m getting railed into giving her up as well. We love her but her consistent peeing is beginning to cause a problem in my marriage. I get so upset at the thought of putting her back up for adoption. We really are in need of advice.
We are taking her to the vet tomorrow to make sure she doesn’t have a uti or crystals in her urine that night be causing her to have this issue. It could be a behavioral problem but I’m just at a complete loss. I don’t want to lose my cat but I also don’t want to lose my husband.
Help!
