So I already had one for quite some time, it was easy to tame him since he already came from another family, so he was used to humans. Then after some years, my sister got a boyfriend that also had one, but he didn't give it much attention even tho it was sick, but my sister managed to help it and cure the problem, so her boyfriend offered it to her and she accepted.
But something we didn't know was that his cockatiel got mistreated (not sure if it was by him or another family), so now it feels scared of humans, he backs away very easily.
I already took a look in the internet on how to tame it, but none of those tips worked, been 2-3 months with it now, he seems to be used with us around since we leave it out of it's cage to walk around in the kitchen, but still, it backs away when we approach too much.
Any tips to help us?
