I was feeding my cats some random treats from our cat treat cupboard, when I noticed they smelled kind of weird and I looked at the package and they expired in Jan 2009!! Agh!! My roommate is a hoarder, must have found them in an old box and put them with the rest of the treats.
I don’t know if the bag had been opened previously. She ate two. I know it’s not a lot, but I’m a ball of anxiety. Could these seriously harm her or is it really just a risk of like an upset stomach? They were egg and tuna country squire premium? Idk I’ve never even heard of this brand. It’s probably some bargain brand, knowing roommate.
Anyone have any knowledge of cats eating obscenely old dry food?
