I have had my kitten, Gracie since birth, she is healthy and up to date with her vaccines. She is the sweetest most lovable affectionate kitten you will ever meet. But there has been a huge issue lately that I thought she would eventually outgrow but hasn't. She wakes me up AT LEAST 5 times a night by crying and scratching at my bedroom door all night long. Its starting to get to the point where I can't stay awake at work. I know that by letting her in I'm encouraging her to do it more so I try to keep her out of my room at night.
She used to sleep with me when she was smaller but I stopped because she would step on my face or start meowing in the middle of the night. I set up a little sleeping area in the living room for her but its not enough.
I know that she is most likely just bored or lonely and wants my attention but I haven't been able to sleep through the night because she is incredibly loud.
What are some thing I can do to help her stay more entertained throughout the night? She has plenty of toys and scratchers but for some reason she prefers my bedroom door.
TLDR: My kitten wakes me up by banging on my door and crying all night. Need some advice on how to get her to stop.
