So I didn’t want this to be my first ever post here on reddit, but I don’t know what to do at this point. So my 14 month old cat, Kyle has been urinating on me and my boyfriends bed and now for the 5th or 6th time since starting a month and a half ago. He is an orange tabby cat, he has always been crazy (I believe he has mental issues or is special ED because there’s many things he will do or act like that I’ve never in my life if anyone wants more info on that I can explain) so his behaviors over him growing up have gotten MUCH better but him starting this is to the point where me and my boyfriend have to seclude him from the bedroom every night, and we take turns sleeping on the couch and he has always peed on us DIRECTLY and the mattress while we are sleeping but this morning my boyfriend was awake on the bed playing our switch and he just comes up and pees next to him. Now mind you, Kyle knows it’s bad so after peeing he immediately ran off under our bed. He isn’t fixed but is getting fixed this coming Monday so I’m hoping that’ll help him stop and calm down. Has anybody else ever been through this before?? Any tips on how to get him to stop and to get cat urine smell out? We’re using water and vinegar with baking soda and dawns blue dish soap but there’s still always a tiny smell of it left over and I really don’t want this to cost me to the point of buying a new mattress because I’ve already had to buy 2 new $60 bed sets 😓😓😓 I’ve also been cleaning his box every day and night so I’ve done everything it seems.. 😣
