That's it really. She has a tumour on her breast which has become infected so I thought it was an abscess but the vet thinks it's more likely cancer - we are having a biopsy done this weekend. She actually seems fine in herself, eating normally, etc, but will ask the vet for advice. I don't want an aggressive treatment given her age and she has mild kidney disease (controlled by diet but she is picky). She was fine a year ago when she had dental surgery so I am considering, with the vet's approval either surgery to remove the tumour or palliative care.
I am upset that it seems to have developed within the last two weeks or so (she doesn't like tummy rubs at all) so she may deteriorate very quickly so my main concern is a good quality of life.
I have had her since the day she was born and she has always been my baby; she sleeps on me and curls up in my lap to watch TV. She's had a good life but we may only have a few more weeks together. Sad....
