Hi there! My friend has a toddler and a newborn and is looking to get rid of her cat because it keeps peeing on the toddler's bed. She believes it is because the toddler tends to try hitting the cat, or perhaps because the cat is too nervous around the babies. I was looking to adopt her, she's a 12 year old cat. I am just worried that this behaviour would continue if I were to bring her to my home. Is there any way to try and make sure she is comfortable at my house and does not try to pee on any of my things? Or, does when a cat start to pee on things they do not stop? I've never owned a cat before so I want to be fully informed on how to take care of her before I adopt her, and I do not want the risk of having her pee on my things...
