Cat attacks child unprovoked

I need help stopping my cat from attacking my boyfriend's 8 year old daughter. My cat does not like strangers, but will not bother them if they dont bother her. That is not the case with this little girl though.

We have introduced my cat to this little girl twice, both times 100% supervised, both attacks unprovoked. She will lock on to the girl from across the room and target her attack to bite his and swipe.

The cat has bitten me unprovoked, but in a very different manner, if I walk past her she may go for my legs once every couple of weeks, but i can tell its letting off steam and not necessarily aggressive in the same manner. Shes never broken skin or hissed when doing this.

Anyone have any suggestions to get my cat to leave this little girl alone?
