I left the house at 5pm and returned at 8pm. Upon our return, I could not find the kitten anywhere. 6 of us looked for nearly 3 hours and concluded that he was not hiding in the house (we looked everywhere, even in rooms where the doors were closed) I did find an exposed vent hole, which he could have gotten into. However, i do not hear him cry or meow. I do hear an occasional noise, but I don't know what it is. We have a fairly large 3 floor home and the vent system is complex and interconnected. We'd have to tear up the walls in the entire house to find him. I've also searched outside for hours with no luck. (I do not think he could have gone outside). I don't know what to do anymore. I am feeling hopeless. I fear that he is dead or injured somewhere in the vents.
