First time poster, hello!
We adopted an 8mos old kitten not too long ago from some friends. As the title explains, they informed us he didn’t chew on cables or wires and they had trained him not to do so. He doesn’t scratch furniture, goes in his litter box, etc etc, he’s pretty well behaved. We started letting him in the bedroom to sleep with us nearly a day after he came to live with us and he started taking interest in this particular wire we had hanging off the nightstand. It’s a white, thin cable that is attached to my bf’s charging dock and it kinda dangles in the empty space under the night stand. We saw him nibbling on it and corrected him each time but he still kept coming back to it. There are other cables in the room, including some for a computer, headphones that sit near the white cable, beats headphones, a heating pad and my charging cable for my phone. Point is, lots of other wires for him to chew on and today we come home and find that white one chewed in half.
My bf is obviously pissed, and I’m confused as to why he would choose that particular cable when a.) he knows not to chew on wires and b.) there are plenty of other cables in the house to chew on. Has anyone else’s cat done this and do you know why?
