Did i kill my canary?

I bought a canary 4 days ago, before buying i read a lot to make sure I'm prepared to accept my little fluffy friend.

I put him in a well sized cage with few fake branches to let him hop around and fly a little.

I fed him with canary seed mix that the breeder recommended plus a small piece of cucumber couple times and once quarter of boiled egg cause of the protein.

He was completely normal yesterday when I went to school but when I came back he was already asleep (he woke up later and semeed fine) and today when i woke up around 8am he was sleeping (he was always awake at this time and he was happy he hopped around and waited for me to change food and water on the top branch) on the floor of the cage, after i brushed my teeth and came back he was awake but he was wobbly he could barely walk.

Before i even had time to reach vet Ricky was already gone.

I just wonder if I did anything wrong, did i kill my own pet?

I cleaned his cage and food bowls everyday (just with warm water). I made sure he had fresh water everyday and enough food. I also gave him treats like small pieces of cucumber that i washed and peeled. I also once gave him (2 days ago) quarter of boiled egg as i mentioned before, i removed that egg a hour after cause i was worried it may be bad already (i ate the rest of boiled egg i understand humans and birds aren't the same but could that somehow be fatal?).

So what have i done wrong?

I apologise for terrible grammar and wording English isn't my first language and I'm also not in the best mood.
