I recently adopted a cat from a local shelter. He was already neutered and had all his vaccinations/shots from the shelter vet before we adopted him. He's not a kitten, they believe at least one years old, but I was wondering when I should plan to bring him to his first vet visit? Should he go in for an annual physical, like humans, even if he is not sick? There is a VCA Animal Hospital down the street with free first visits and I was thinking of doing that, but don't want to do it prematurely if others have better ideas for timing of his first visit! Thanks!
