Today I agreed to take care of a 6 year old male Jackrussel while my friend is away for a holiday. He’s gonna be here for 10 days. I myself have a 10 month old female pug. She’s a very lively and excited dog. So when she got introduced to my friends dog she naturally wanted to play with him. The problem is, he doesn’t want anything to do with her! What’s worse he growls and snaps whenever she comes near him. That gets her upset and she goes into a fit of barking, she was never much of a barker, so I’m slowly going insane with her like this. I really need advice on how to teach them to get along. They don’t need to be best buddies, I just want them to tolerate each other. And how do I teach my dog to keep her distance when he’s like this? I really don’t want her to get hurt.
