Mine and husband's first cat, Fizzgig. He was six. He went missing 2 weeks ago with startled me since he hardly disappears, maybe a day but after a few days we worried. Well we got a call last night from a vet who scanned his chip that someone found him in their garden, he'd been hit by a car and paralyzed his back legs, lost control of his bowels and twitched all over. He could only crawl a foot before getting tired and laying down. I feel so guilty.
He'd spent 2 weeks trying to get home. We just spend today with him at home, letting him sleep on the bed, getting fusses. I feel like we betrayed him but their was no fix for the nerve damage, he couldn't feel there. I tried to reach out to local charities but noone could help. I just feel plain awful.
