My partner and I moved in together a few months ago I had a cat and she had a dog (Rottweiler), we think of each others pets as our own. We did a nice slow introduction over a couple of visits through a glass door and they both live in the house with a baby gate seperating them most of the time. The cat isn't scared of the dog, the most he'll do is a very quiet blasé hiss. The dog however seems very obsessed with the cat. She waits at the baby gate for him a lot and when they are chilling in the same room she'll often get excited from staring at him and charge over to him, in turn making him panic and run to which she chases.
I'm wondering if there are any exercises that we can do to calm this kind of behavior.
