My dog is about 13 years old, west terrier, and we had recieved him about august of 2018 from the son of a deceased owner. I was watching TV when I stroked him hair and found a spot of hard, crust like texture. It was about an inch wide blotch of patchy skin, with dots of what we presume to be blood coming out of that blotch. It was hardened already, so we were suprised to have not noticed it before. I gave my mom a dog hair brush and she combed through him, to find that his front left leg had an even bigger blotch that was 3 to 4 inches wide. Me and my mom started to worry at this point, as a dog we had in the past had the same stuff happen to it and it sadly passed away. We still do not know what this is, and we can not afford to go to the vet just yet. What do we do?
