There is this lady in her mid-20s who is very active on social media with her pets. I’m going to share with you all the strange disappearances that have happened with her pets over the last two years.
In the beginning it was two papillons (dogs) until suddenly she deleted all traces of one of her dogs on social media. No big deal right? Maybe she had to put him down or something and was feeling sad about it. “Everyone grieves in their own way” I though.
Promptly after deleing every picture or post about this dog, she gets a mixed-breed kitten. This kitten also gets deleted and replaced promptly by a rag doll kitten. This rag doll says a while, however papillon #2 gets deleted and replaced by a Yorkshire terrier puppy. After the Yorkshire terrier puppy and rag doll gets deleted, she gets papillon #2 back and adopts a cavalier King Charles puppy. The cavalier puppy and papillon #2 promptly gets deleted to make room for a black kitten and a Tibetan spaniel. As mentioned before, all of this happened over the span of about two years. At one point I asked her about all this and she immediately got extremely defensive and shut down.
This all has lead me to ask some uncomfortable questions. What is going on here? Should I contact animal welfare services?
