So by husband and I are going out of town for a couple weeks, and we are trying to figure out what to do with our cat while we're gone. He is 1 year old, pretty even-tempered/adaptable (he did okay on an airplane a couple months ago). Our first option is to have him stay at my aunt's house. They have 2 other cats, which Mochi has met. He was scared of one for a while, then they got along, and then they went back to hissing at each other. I worry that they won't ever get along and Mochi will be super stressed out the whole time.
Other option is to have my cousin come and house sit for the first 11 days, and then have him stay with my aunt for the last 4 days (with the 2 cats). The downside to this is that my cousin would have to move him, and moving around could freak him out more.
I'm wondering if it would be less stressful to have him stay in 1 place with the other cats the whole time, or have him move partway through our time away.
Thoughts? I just don't want him to be distrustful of us when we get back.
