So Jessie is an older dog. She’s 11 years old and is always playful and really energetic, however last week when nobody was home she must’ve fell down the stairs and hurt her knee. My dad took her to the vet. She has pain killers and has to take a syringe once a week until June. I’m not sure what’s exactly wrong with her though, my dad didn’t say maybe to not stress us out. She’s been shaking and won’t eat often, maybe a couple bites a day. She is trying to walk around but she’s not using her left leg. What could be the issue here? She doesn’t have a cast or brace so what is the issue? The vet said if she’s still in pain after a week she’ll have to be put down or suffer. I really don’t want to see her go. I grew up with her and her sister Ruby, both from the same litter.
