So for some important back story, I got my female ragdoll cat when she was a kitten. She only liked me for the longest time. We own three dogs so for a couple of months until she was bigger she only lived in my room. She only liked me, would sit on my lap for cuddles, only let me pat her. Eventually as she got bigger we let her out of my room and in the back yard and she still would only socialize with me, she would ALWAYS sleep in my room even when we let her wonder around the house. SHe would CONSTANTLY meow all night for me to come play with her at night.
However, for personal reasons I had to move out of home (I was living at my mums). But because of money and the current place im living with not allowing pets I left my cat at my mums. It's been a year and she socialises with everyone in the family, when my brother comes to visit she will come up to him and be friendly and allow him to pat her.
But for some reason when I visit she wont let me pat her for more than a minute and ALWAYS everytime runs under the back yard porch where I cant get her. I dont know if she wants me to go under there with her? (It's a small dirty space I could never get under there) Or is she avoiding me? My mum says she's angry at me because I left and that if we close my old bedroom door she'll meow at it thinking im inside and if I leave she'll meow at the front door...but she wont let me play with her... she'll roll on her stomach in a playful way but then run away from me under the porch...I dont know what to do it breaks my heart.
Is she avoiding me? Or does she just not like me anymore?
