I have an 11 year old rottweiler cross. He's still very healthy, active and happy for his age. Loves walks and eating.
Around 2 weeks ago he started peeing on the floor in the same spot by the door. This is also where he stands when I leave the house.
We have never had any issues with him peeing in the house in all the time we've had him and it only seems to be when I leave. I know its not that he can't hold himself because he was out in the yard for around 2 hours today, I then left the house for 30 minutes, came back and he had peed.
The only thing that I can think might be the issue is that my mum fetched her chihuahua down around 2 weeks ago and my dog was getting very excited and frisky.
Not sure if she peed on that spot as my dog was scaring her a little due to the size difference.
I've heard of seperation anxiety too but he has always been fine being left alone
I'm getting to the end of my tether cleaning a piss soaked carpet everyday.
