So five years ago I had a cat I could no longer keep at my apartment. After asking my mother-in-law if she wanted him, she claimed she did due to having to put her own cat down for medical reasons. Not long after her own mother died and she brought home her cat as well. Fast forward to today where these cats are brothers, my mother-in-law is retired and has a habit of taking trips out of state/country and my husband, rightfully not wanting to leave the two alone, goes twice a day during work to check in on them.
Now, she's decided that she wants to redo her kitchen and during construction she plans to spend at least THREE months at a cabin up north while leaving the cats to the upstairs of her home during this time. When my husband states it's too much stress on him to go back and forth and she needs to bring the cats with her, she ALWAYS guilts him and states that she didn't even want the cats to begin with, when she did with at least my cat. I am so angry that someone would just leave two cats alone for three months with noise and construction going on with her kitchen without being there while also having the expectation that my husband should do it and taking advantage of his love for these animals.
I'm angry and I guess I'm just looking for a little encouragement because confrontation is not my best point. ;(
