My roommate has a small tabby. Since Ive moved in, this tabby has reached maturity and they basically refuse to get her fixed under the pretense "i plan on giving her away anyway".
Because of this, the cat basically whines constantly and runs all over everywhere. She darts out of the house a lot. I told my roommate to get her fixed and it would likely help the issue.
Well, recently, my roommates have decided she is a nuisance. Theyve thrown the cat out the back door onto the balcony alone without food or water for upwards, and potentially over, 24 hours. Theyve stopped feeding her and providing water. I feed her when I can and give her water. All she wants is love and attention, which when I provide, she stops crying.
Theyve said things like:
"I will choke this cat" or stomp, throw out, abandon, or in extreme instances, threaten to kill.
"Shes such a insert expletive"
Ive watched them kick and throw the cat. I really want to do something. I honestly and just debating taking her into my side of the house and keeping her but I need her fixed and I cannot afford that.
If what I have listed, is animal cruelty (im assuming it is) what do i do??
