Roommate's female cat attacking my male cat and we don't know how to stop it!

My roommate and I, along with our 2 cats, moved in together 3 years ago. Our cats have never really gotten along as her female cat (Gwen) is very dominant and aggressive. My male cat (Leo) is very timid around Gwen, yet is very comfortable around my parents' cat when I go home to visit.

Her cat constantly charges my cat and swats at him, often causing scratches around his nose and eyes. Around a year ago she caused such a deep gash on his nose that it scarred. She blocks him from leaving rooms or coming into the living room, she corners him in the bathroom, it's never ending and I feel really bad for my cat. She also has other behavioral issues such as scratching couches and knocking over food bowls.

All of their resources are separate. Litter boxes, food, water, toys, etc. are all in separate rooms. We've tried spray bottles, loud noises, yelling "no", but nothing has worked besides physically closing the door to keep Gwen in her room. I've searched online for solutions but most sites suggest "separation of resources etc." which is not the root of the problem here apparently. Thanks in advance for any suggestions
