Hi guys, We adopted one cat Ralph for 2 months now and he's 5 months old. We've just recently adopted another cat (Oscar) who's 8 weeks old and on trying to introduce them we're having a bit of a panic about the fighting / play fighting.
Were keeping Oscar in a seperate room in a crate and taking a little and often approach (with felliway friends plugged in through the house) to introducing them but as soon as Oscar is out of his cage this is the behaviour.
Can we do anything to make it a bit easier? Does Oscar need a bit more size on him for proper introductions? We don't think the playing is overly aggressive in terms of body language but can't help but feel it is.. or we're likely just over thinking it and Oscar needs to be a bit bitter and things will work out!
Any advice or tips is massively appreciated. I've put a video of their fighting below
