My GF and I recently moved house. It's our second ever rental home and we have been looking for months so there was no other option but this house. We have a young 9 month old cat that was rescued from the side of a highway as a kitten by a family friend, and this new house just so happens to not be pet friendly. If we're found with him in this house its a massive cross on our rental record and will ruin future housing for us. We have already been trying to get him out but now he is scratching the doors and walls, which will ruin the paint and make us look bad again in real estate. We have tried EVERY local shelter around and there is absolutely nobody who has room for him, the only thing they could do was put us on some waiting list. He is not microchipped or desexed, which will cost 100's of dollars altogether, and the local facebook page will not let us put him up on it unless he is microchipped and desexed. We are in a terrible situation and his behaviour is getting worse each day, it's extremely urgent we get rid of him but there is no way to do it except by just letting him go somewhere. Am I missing something? Or is there actually no way we can grt around this?
