Vet won’t vaccinate my kitten (a little long) and

Hey, so I brought home a stray kitten yesterday. My mother’s neighbor is the “cat lady” of the block and feeds all the stray cats. One gave birth to NINE kittens under her porch awhile ago. When I found out about them I was told they were about 4-5 weeks and my mother asked me if I’d like one. I said yes, but after doing some research and discovering that you’re not supposed to separate them before 8 weeks I asked if the lady could wait till then. She was antsy to take them to the shelter for some reason, but agreed to wait till the 20th at the very latest upon my request. Yesterday comes, I pick up the kitten and take him straight to the vet that I had made an appointment at. I let them know that I was pretty sure he was around 8 weeks. I was instantly met with the strangest amount of hostility from the vet. She was rude, passive aggressive, and didn’t wanna answer any of my questions. She said he was only 4 weeks and pretty much tried to make me into the worst person in the world. I tried to explain that he couldn’t have been that young, but she just cut me off every time. She’s the professional, so I just assumed she was right. However, she was going based solely upon his weight. He weighed in at 1.27 pounds. She told me she wasn’t giving him any vaccinations because of his age and told me to separate him from the cat I already had at home and come back in a month. I explained that I lived in a one bedroom apartment so I wasn’t sure how I could separate them completely for that long. My OG cat couldn’t touch anything the new cat had touched. My original plan was to just keep the new cat in the bathroom for a few days, but this is way more hardcore. I asked for advice, and she literally just shrugged and left the room. Gave me the iciest vibes the entire rest of the time. I called my mom crying the second I got home, and she agreed that it didn’t make sense for him to be that young. A few hours later I got a call from my mom saying that the neighbor lady actually has the birth on video with a time stamp of March 2nd, making him 7 weeks. Still not 8, but definitely nowhere near 4. Called and explained this to the vet again, and they weren’t having it. I understand that he looks very young (you can go to my last post if you wanna see his precious face), but can anyone think of a reason why? My theory is that because the mother had nine kittens she didn’t have enough milk to go around and they’re all malnourished. The kitten I brought home was actually way bigger than the rest that were born at the same time. The vet herself said he had a lot of worms, which I just looked up and it said can cause underweight kittens. I don’t wanna argue with a professional, but I don’t know what else to do. Thoughts? Advice?
