I want a hoofed pet and I'm disputing getting a goat vs getting a Sika deer. Intuitively I would get a goat because they have been domesticated for thousands of years and I imagine the goat would be tougher and able to live on a larger variety of food. However I read about a Dutch study on the suitability of animals as pets that found that Sika deer were the best pet and goats weren't even on the list. I might be confused about the study as it may have not considered goats to be nontraditional pet animals (it didn't include dogs either). Which one should I get? The cost of obtaining it isn't an issue for me.
