3 months since adopting semi-feral, running out of steam

TL;DR Adopted semi-feral from foster about 3 months ago, she's my first ever cat, spend most days fearing setting my new cat off, gonna have to move twice in the coming month, she won't even set foot near her carrier so we can't practice wondering if she'd be better off with someone else more experienced.

Since adopting my cat Smoke, I was expecting to have some trouble getting her to adjust, but it's been 3 months straight of having to walk on my tiptoes around my house because the cat is terrified of literally anything that makes a sound. We tried to go to the vet for the first time a few weeks ago, and that ended with me covered in scratches on my arm just from me trying to gently push her into her carrier. Today I was trying to get ready for moving and tried to flip the recliner that she's attached to in my room upside down, which resulted in her scrambling with all her claws out to get past me and inside the chair before i could flip it. I just let her in because it's not worth bleeding everywhere. (Can't consistently trim her nails because of the same reason)

When i went to see her at the foster home, she had only been there for like 2.5 months and she was very quiet and chill and happy to be pet, but now that she's been here for almost 3, she still attacks my arm on the regular and flat out refuses to engage with me unless i'm completely still

Granted when i'm laying down in my bed or sitting in my chair, she'll come up and be super nice to me, until she gets bored then she'll attack my hand with all her claws out. Basically, I feel like she was happier with her foster parent, who was much more experienced when it came to handling semi-ferals than I, a 20 year old college student am.

idk dude, typing this out helped me feel better at least, and i know it's full of run-on sentences but if you got any advice it'd be really appreciated
