Advice on caring for dying cat

My cat is at least 8 or 9 years old (she was found on the street) and recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease. She had stopped eating and became very lethargic. The vet found she was jaundiced and had what appeared to be a melanoma tumor in her right eye. She was scheduled to get a feeding tube, but after dropping her off the vet called to say she had fluid sacks that indicated late stage cancer and felt the feeding tube wouldn't be worth doing.

I had been able to syringe feed her about 100 mL / day of Hill's prescription a/d food slurry. Today is the 3rd day of the force feeding, but she isn't using the litter box. She shows signs of the food giving her slightly more energy and she is still alert.

I don't know if I should continue to feed her, which causes her stress, or stop and let her starve and decline. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
