I’m a first time cat owner and my 4mo kitten (Steve) ingested cooked onions left in the trash over night. We ordered pizza with onions and my picky self removed every bit of onion found on my two slices. He had to have eaten them anywhere from 3-8 hours ago. Google tells me that he could experience vomiting, diarrhea, rapid heart rate, and he will be lethargic among some other symptoms.
So far, Steve has had two normal poops and the only raised heart rate he’s experiencing is from running around the house. His behavior hasn’t changed, and he hasn’t shown any negative side effects. I feel like if I take him without any side effects, I’m overreacting to the situation. Should I still seek immediate veterinary care? Or would it be okay to wait it out until he shows some symptoms?
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
